Not Long Now!

After my three years of studying at London College of Fashion, I have finally finished my Bachelors of Honours degree in Fashion Design and Marketing. As part of my course the final project was to create a dissertation and collection with a body of creative work. I am very pleased to say that I have finished my course and I passed with high honours. This time now is a very exciting but scary process but I am ecstatic to say that I am setting up my own designer womenswear fashion label self-titled Anthony Yassin. I am currently setting up my website were people will be able view my designs and contact me directly about any interests. Here his a brief description about my collection and some of my design work that goes alongside.

Spring/Summer 2015
Diversity Urban Slavery
My Final collection is aimed for the season of Spring/Summer 2015, it is entitled Diversity Urban Slavery. The inspiration behind this seasons collection is based around the idea of the campaign 'BalanceDiverity' Looking closely at the unbalance equality between black and white models with the high fashion industry. The mean sources of visual research came from my researching into black and white historical moments and movements in time, looking at culture, fashion, history and music. Due to the nature of my project I found that a pallet of monochrome colours were quite fitting and using my visual research I had gathered I designed my final collection around a modern ascetic of a contemporary    influences such as a couture silhouettes and sports wear tailoring but still using pass references of historical costumes. I hope you enjoy my final collection and it hopefully makes people think about this current issue with high fashion of balancing diversity between models. Also stay posted for my website address which is coming soon.........

Mulberry Takes Us To The British Countryside

Mulberry takes us to the British Countryside for Autumn/Winter 2014. This season Mulberry's ad campaign is set within the beautiful, idlic landscapes of the British Countryside, the Ready-to-wear collection and luxury leather goods are showcased by no other than the model icon of the moment Cara Delevingne.

Not only is it refreshing to see a brand like Mulberry stay true to its heritage but it so inspiring to see how a brand can reinvent new fresh products by taking key inspiration through embraced the rich oaks, misty greys, deep greens and intense oxblood, from the mystery of the highlands to the lush rolling hills of Mulberry's home in Somerset.
